TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ONLINE TICKET PURCHASES
THE GODINTON HOUSE PRESERVATION TRUST (THE TRUST)
Please read carefully the following terms and conditions, along with the documents referred to herein, before using the online booking system on our website. By using the online booking system, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. We may change these terms and conditions at any time (but not in relation to orders already confirmed). Any changes will take effect on the date they are posted onto this website. Your continued use of this website will be subject to the then current terms and conditions.
This website is operated by the Godinton House Preservation Trust, Godinton House, Godinton Lane, Ashford, Kent TN23 3BP.
Privacy
You acknowledge and agree to be bound by the terms of our privacy policy.
Your Status
By placing an order through this website, you confirm you are legally capable of entering into binding contracts; and are at least 18 years old.
The Booking Process
You can only place an order once you have successfully supplied required information including your email address. Information that you provide while ordering with us must be complete and accurate.
An online confirmation will be generated after completion of the booking. This will also be sent to the email address provided at the time of booking.
Please print out the booking confirmation, or save to your device, as you will need to present this to the ticket office on arrival.
You will receive guidelines for your visit along with your booking confirmation. Please read these carefully before your visit.
Your contract with the Trust
Tickets must be paid for at the time of booking using a credit or debit card, and on receipt of payment your booking will be confirmed by email. We accept payment with all major credit and debit cards except American Express.
Price
Prices are inclusive of any applicable taxes. Once you have paid, we will not increase the price of your tickets.
Prices displayed on the website are subject to change without notice.
There are no concessionary rates for senior citizens.
The Trust cannot accept Gift Aid donations.
House & Garden Entry
Visitors will only be granted entrance to Godinton with a valid booking confirmation. Tickets can be bought from the Ticket Office on the day if there is availability.
Garden Season Tickets holders and Historic Houses members must bring their membership cards with them and sign in on arrival at the Ticket Office.
Group Bookings
14 or more persons constitute a group. Exclusive visits for groups are available, these must be pre-booked and paid for in advance of your visit. Please contact us on 01233 643854 Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm for information and to make a booking.
Garden Season Tickets
On completion of your application and payment you will be supplied with a garden season ticket. The season ticket entitles you to free entry to the gardens only during open season:
1st March to 30th October 2023.
Garden season tickets can only be used by the person named on the card. In the event of a lost season ticket, the Trust will re-issue a replacement free of charge.
No refund will be given for garden season tickets purchased.
If your visit, workshop or event is cancelled or postponed by the Trust any entrance money paid will be refunded. The Trust will not pay for any other loss you may have incurred in arranging your visit, for example, travelling expenses.
The Trust reserves the right to at any point close any area within the gardens, house and estate.
Availability of this website
We make no warranty or promise that this website will remain available for your use, or that its use will always be free from viruses or bugs or any errors. We will not be liable to you for any loss of content or material you upload or transmit through this website.
We may provide links to other websites for your convenience. Any other websites to which you link from this website are governed by their own terms and conditions. We accept no responsibility or liability for the content or operation of websites which are not under our control and do not endorse them.
The Trust reserves the right to make alterations and corrections to the information contained on our website at any time without notice.

Applicable laws require that some of the information or communications we send to you should be in writing. When using our website, you accept that communication with us will be mainly electronic. We will contact you by email or provide you with information by posting notices on our website. For contractual purposes, you agree to this electronic means of communication and you acknowledge that all contracts, notices and other communications that we provide you electronically comply with any legal requirement that such communications be in writing. This condition does not affect your statutory rights.
