Thursday 23rd October

Join the team from Kentish Stour Countryside Partnership for a spooky, fun-filled family nature session all about bats.

Morning workshop: 10am-12pm

Afternoon workshop: 1pm-2pm

Each session will start with a bat-tastic trail around the Godinton gardens where you will follow the map to find out about the most common bat species found in the UK. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy the gardens in their full autumnal glory.

After a hot drink and a warm up, you will discover some amazing facts about bat's eating habits and make your very own bat mobile (a hanging one, not the Batman and Robin kind!) using natural materials foraged from the gardens.

This workshop is most suitable for primary aged children although younger and older children are more than welcome. All children must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets cost £3 per child aged 4 and over.

A selection of hot and cold drinks will be provided. Please feel free to bring your own snacks.

Please note: at this time the gardens will not be open for visiting. This event will be held in the Education Room and will include a guided scavenger unt around the gardens.
