Master the Art of Plant Propagation: A Hands-On Workshop
Led by Godinton House's Head Gardener, Lee Woodcock, this workshop is designed to change the way you look at propagation. By the end of our session, you will walk away with an open-minded, intuitive approach to growing. In shifting from "hoping it works" to "knowing why it works", we make the complex simple and the technical relatable!
What We Will Cover:
- The Big Picture: An inspiring overview of propagation—what it is, why
we do it, and the magic of creating new life from a single parent plant.
- The Perfect Foundation: A deep dive into propagation media. Learn how
to mix and select the ideal composts and substrates to give your babies
the best start.
- Creating the Ideal Climate: Explore propagation environments. From
windowsills to specialised setups, learn how to manage light, heat, and
humidity.
- The 6 Golden Rules: Master the key fundamentals essential for cutting
success every single time.
- Division Techniques: Learn how to expertly separate and rejuvenate
established plants to keep your garden thriving.
The workshop will begin promptly at 9:30 am and end at 1:30 pm, with a break for refreshments.
Please bring secateurs and gardening gloves as this is a hands-on session during which participants will take cuttings directly from the Godinton Gardens.
